A common misconception about property management is that just about anyone can do it. While this may be technically true, effective and successful property management requires a distinct skillset, an abundance of specialized knowledge, and a trustworthy person in charge. With over 7 valuable years of experience in this field, I’m confident in my ability to not only manage properties, but to do so strategically and exceptionally. Combining my strengths of effective communication and creative problem solving, I consistently deliver a winning approach to managing properties as if they were my very own. I specialize in helping real estate holders navigate the complex world of real estate investment while maximizing profit and minimizing risk. My genuine passion for this line of work, paired with a wealth of knowledge and experience, makes me an honest partner and resource for each client I serve.

Background & Experience:
Eddy has worked on site at both multifamily and commercial properties, leading teams in management of both commercial and multi-family properties. He has multiple certifications, including HVAC and CAMT. His largest managed portfolios were almost 1000 doors in the multi-family space and nearly 400,000 square feet of mixed use commercial buildings.

Current Role:
As the Maintenance Operations Manager, Eddy oversees and supports the crews in-field, as well as vendor management, technician education, work order scheduling, processing and estimates for all work done at our many properties across the front range.

Interests & Goals:
Eddy enjoys his time with his wife and 4 year old son, taking frequent trips to the Denver zoo and Museum of Nature and Science. Eddy also volunteers heavily in his community, with food drives, community outreach and at-risk young adults. Eddy is excited to be a part of the Walters and Company team to help with our goal of growing as the #1 property management company in Colorado.

Background and Experience:
Carolyn is a financial professional with over 30 years of comprehensive experience in accounting and auditing, including 5 years specializing in residential property management.

Current Role:
As the Controller of Walter’s and Company, I am responsible for the integrity, transparency, and accuracy of all financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of properties. I ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, while delivering timely and actionable financial insights to both property owners and tenants. My role involves hands-on management of day-to-day accounting operations. I collaborate closely with property managers to address and resolve financial transaction issues, develop streamlined accounting procedures, and implement best practices that improve operational efficiency and financial performance.

Skills:
Throughout my career, I’ve built a reputation for reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. I am committed to fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance department.

Goals:
As Walter’s and Company continue to grow, my goal is to lead the financial operations with integrity and strategic foresight—supporting the company’s vision to become an industry leader in residential property management.

Background & Experience:
With over 20 years of experience in residential property management, Nikki Griswold specializes in multifamily housing and LIHTC compliance. She’s worked both onsite and at the corporate level, managing a wide range of multifamily communities with a focus on operational excellence and community impact.

Current Role:
As Senior Portfolio Manager over the Multifamily Division at Walters & Company, Nikki leads day-to-day operations across a diverse portfolio of affordable and market-rate properties. She works closely with site teams, and ownership groups, to drive performance, ensure compliance, and foster strong resident relationships.

Interests & Goals:
Nikki enjoys finding adventure in life —whether she’s traveling or finding her next live concert or sporting event.
Nikki is passionate about building communities where people feel proud to live and work. Her goals include grow as a mentor and leader and helping Walters & Company strengthen its presence and reputation across the multifamily industry.

Background and Experience:
I graduated from CSU with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and Business Administration. After graduating, I went on to manage multi-million dollar homes in the Vail Valley, where exceptional customer service was a requirement. With over ten years in the industry, I am passionate about delivering high-quality housing solutions and ensuring smooth operations for property owners and tenants alike.

Current Role:
As a Portfolio Manager, I ensure that over 100 investment properties are successfully leased, meticulously managed and well-maintained. My responsibilities include leasing, fostering strong owner relationships, managing tenant relations, and managing property maintenance to uphold property value and client satisfaction.

Skills & Interests:
My strengths are improving tenant and owner satisfaction, project management, planning, budgeting & forecasting, multi-family Properties, lease ups, and vendor management. Outside of work, I enjoy all things homemaking and weekend motorcycle trips exploring small towns in Colorado.

Future Goals:
1-An investment property owner
2- Retire early on a ranch with miniature animals

Background and Experience: Alex has years of experience in both single-family and multifamily property management in the Denver rental market, delivering world-class customer service for clients and tenants.

Current Role: As a portfolio manager, Alex provides high-touch support for clients, coordinating and managing relations with tenants, overseeing leasing and renewals, and property operations for our many properties across the front range.

Interests & Goals: Alex spends his time with his wife of 9 years, cooking, going on hikes, walking with their dog, and watching their favorite sports teams. Alex is excited to be a part of the Walters and Company team to help with our goal of growing as the #1 property management company in Colorado.

Background and Experience: Born and raised in Colorado, I have built my career in property management with over a decade of experience across both multifamily and single-family housing. I began in multifamily property management in 2013, where I gained hands-on expertise in operations, tenant relations, and maintenance coordination. In 2019, I transitioned into single-family property management, broadening my skill set and allowing me to focus more directly on the unique needs of property owners and tenants alike. Today, I am proud to call Walters and Company my professional home, where I remain dedicated to delivering reliable, results-driven service that maximizes property value and supports client goals.

Hobbies and Fun: Outside of work, I am deeply committed to community engagement and leadership. I currently serve on the board of a nonprofit organization, which provides me the opportunity to give back and contribute to meaningful local initiatives. I also enjoy organizing several golf tournaments each year, combining my passion for the sport with community involvement. In addition, I serve as a coach for a local high school basketball team, a role that allows me to mentor student-athletes and support their development both on and off the court.

When I am not working or volunteering, you will most often find me on one of Colorado’s many golf courses. Golf has been both a passion and a pastime, offering me balance, focus, and the chance to enjoy the outdoors in the state I proudly call home.

Background and Experience Barbara is a multifamily housing professional with 6 years of experience in leasing and property management. She has overseen communities of more than 700 units and is skilled in resident relations, operations, and team support. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Barbara brings strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills to every role.

Current role Barbara currently serves as an Assistant Portfolio Manager, where she plays a key role in leasing and marketing while supporting property managers with day-to-day operations. She manages tenant communication, lease renewals, work orders, and new prospect outreach, in addition to handling tours and lease agreements. Barbara’s strong organizational skills and resident-focused approach help ensure smooth operations and a positive living experience for all residents.

Interest and goals Outside of work, Barbara enjoys spending time with her 2-year-old daughter, sharing movie nights, coloring, playing soccer, and visiting the aquarium to see the sharks. Passionate about growth and learning, Barbara is eager to expand her knowledge in single-family housing and develop new skills that will support both her professional success and the company’s mission of an unmatched experience . She is enthusiastic about contributing to the organization’s growth and creating a positive impact for residents!

Background & Experience:
10+ years in maintenance, customer service, and window cleaning; started in his father’s window cleaning business. Previous roles: Maintenance Technician, Lead Technician, Maintenance Coordinator.

Current Role:
4 years with Walters & Company, responsible for scheduling, vendor relations, and work order management. Enjoys finding cost-effective solutions for the PM team and clients.

Skills:
Organized in scheduling and adept at building vendor relationships.

Hobbies & Fun Facts:
Enjoys hiking, camping, gaming, and fantasy hockey. Fun fact: Johnny has a twin.

Background and Experience:
I started my maintenance and construction career in 2017 with the AAMP Maintenance Apprenticeship Program. This provided me with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills that kick-started my career. My generalized understanding of various trades allowed me to thrive within the residential maintenance industry. I have extensive experience performing maintenance on single-family, multi-family, and senior living homes. 
I have taken opportunities throughout my career to learn more about various trades. Outside of residential maintenance, I also have experience with: electrical contracting work, building demolition, residential landscaping, commercial landscaping, steel fabrication, underground construction including pipe installation and utility rough-ins, concrete repair, asphalt repair, general contracting for new residential builds, and even heavy equipment operation.  
I have 7 years of construction and maintenance experience.

I’ve held a variety of titles throughout my career ranging from Apprentice and Laborer to Lead Technician and GC. Overall, I’ve kept my career within construction and maintenance and have assumed more responsibilities as I’ve gained more experience and knowledge. 

Current Role
I am the Tech Manager, Chief Inspector, Truck Fleet Manager, HR Assistant, IT Assistant, Cyber Security Specialist, and Forklift Operator for Walters & Company 

My main responsibilities include overseeing our maintenance team, performing building inspections, project management and quality control, performing work orders, and eating Zach’s breakfast leftovers.  

I have been with Walters & Company for 1 year.

I enjoy the diversity of my work the most. I have a host of diverse responsibilities, and each day provides new challenges to overcome. 

With my multifaceted expertise and meticulous attention to detail, I excel in delivering an unmatched experience. I possess the ability to effectively lead a highly competent team of maintenance professionals while simultaneously executing tasks with the same level of excellence, ensuring exceptional results.

Individual members of my team have obtained numerous, diverse, and specialized skills throughout their own careers. This ensures that our maintenance team overall is well rounded and well- equipped to handle any maintenance concern.

Skills and Expertise
I excel most with electrical repairs, building inspections, physically demanding and laborious jobs, and project management. 
I have been involved in numerous large-scale projects, including: 

• Landscaping for Sky Ridge Hospital
• Remodeling of homes throughout the Front Range, including multi-million dollar homes in Sedalia.
• Electrical rough-in for multiple hospitals including Anchutz and UCHealth in Aurora.
• Fiber-optic rough-in for multiple cities in the South Denver Metro Area.
• Plumbing rough-in for universities such as DU and CU Boulder.

Hobbies, Interests, and Fun Facts
I enjoy a number of hobbies outside of work such as: paintball, hiking, board games, video games, and obsessing over my dog, Duke.
Though I never competed, I have coached D2 and D3 level paintball players.
I also enjoy traveling. I’ve traveled all over the US, and I’ve traveled to the Bahamas, India, and Japan.
I am most passionate about my health and spending time with family, friends, and my dog.
I give back to my community by providing maintenance and labor services for friends, family, and neighbors.

Future Goals:
My goal is to continue to learn more about as many trades as possible. I’m proud to have a diverse set of skills, and I want to continue to grow those skills. 

Background & Experience:
10+ years in maintenance, mainly in industrial manufacturing and commercial buildings; started with hands-on skills in auto repair with my dad, later moved to industrial maintenance. Roles: Industrial Maintenance Technician III, heavy machinery and mobile equipment operator in precast concrete manufacturing. Education: High school, some college, and self-taught skills.

Current Role:
1 month with Walters & Company, handling repairs, inspections, and unit turns. Enjoys the variety of tasks and locations, and values promptness, preparedness, and customer service.

Skills & Expertise: Skilled in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work; proud of installing/repairing gym equipment across Colorado.

Hobbies & Interests:
Outdoor activities, live music, art, movies. Passionate drummer in several bands, recording and performing. Owns and maintains classic Jeeps.

Goals:
Aspires to grow within the company, become a homeowner, and tour as a musician.

2 Years of sales experience, 4 years in retail, 2 years as a Pediatric Receptionist

Passionate about building rapport and fostering positive customer relationships.

Customer Service Coordinator Handling all phone calls and owners/tenant needs.

Outdoor activities, skating, swimming, hiking, and camping; I love playing the piano and photography too.

Over 30 years on Wall St. as a NASDAQ Market Maker and Institutional Sales Trader, transitioned to real estate investment after retiring. Self-taught, with a career focus on investment real estate.

Sales and long-term planning at Walters & Company.

Strong sales and client relationship skills, committed to customer service. Enjoys golf and cooking.

Was the youngest NASDAQ trading desk head in 1989. Passionate about supporting family, small businesses, and young entrepreneurs. Goals: Focused on making Walters & Company a top workplace and industry leader.
